This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Where to begin with this one? How about over 2 miles of thick creek bottom in the middle of the best pheasant country SD has to offer. This property is 2 miles north to south, and 1 mile east to west. This lease is set up perfect for pheasant hunting. Everything is in long strips. Along with the two miles of creeks there's a thick shelterbelt, and many miles of grassy fence lines and ditches.
There are never cattle on this property. All of the open ground is row crops. While inspecting I lost count of the perfect points my dog was making on birds. They were literally flushing everywhere. There's several old stock dam's on this property providing water for the wildlife in the summer when they need it most. I would guess they hold water in the fall also, but I'm not positive.
Every tree on this property that could be rubbed by a buck was rubbed. This property will be great for whitetails, especially the south side. However the deer are thick everywhere on it. The shelterbelt on the south end will be dynamite. The neighbor to the south of it has awesome wildlife habitat, and leaves acres and acres of corn standing all winter.
You can stay at the same hotel I did while inspecting this one. It's in Huron about 20 minutes away. They have areas to clean and take care of game.
ATV use for hunting is allowed. Remember, absolutely NO driving on un-harvested crops, or seeded ground. Even when crops are standing you should be able to get around this one on an ATV in the grass.
